A brief history as how it all started......
Ever since 2008, The Galaxy Education System (TGES) located in Rajkot, India is organising a 21st Century Skills based program for its higher secondary students to integrate the creativity, critical thinking, communication along with the core subject areas of innovation and technology widespread across the globe. Commonly know as IPM, - Innovative Product and Marketing Competition. The program prepares the students to be a responsible entrepreneurs for the upcoming future generation and enable them to solve the common social problems as guided and assigned as per United Nations Sustainable & Development Goals (UN-SGDs). Significantly, more than 200+ grade 11-12 business students every year wreck their brains, tear their hair, brainstorm till they run out of ideas, learn new technologies, collaborate, team up with people who are not their friends , think with compassion, work with passion – converting a simple idea scribbled on the paper into a real working product. Furthermore, students work upon various other aspects during the IPM such as they create business as well as marketing plan to the launch the product.
So far 11 years have been passed and IPM has reached for the year 2019 as it's going to continue the same trends and would be looking forward to its upcoming program with a new version by initiating with a TGES Hackathon 2019. Here the students would be participating in a full two-day event by making up a team and working over 21st Century skills along with various other activities and tasks that are assigned to them as a part of innovation and technological training sessions which primarily focuses over two main key parameters:
- Understanding Design Thinking
- Understanding UN SDGs
