Flashback memories of IPM since 2008

Objective 

It integrates creativity, critical thinking, communication with the core subject areas and prepares students to be responsible entrepreneurs of 21st century.

Methodology

For the year 2019, IPM is going to start with something new "The TGES Hackathon 2019" is in form of a 21st century skills based competition where students work upon by – stating what are the UN SDGs goals and its development objectives, across the globe and in the end what are they expected to do, rules and regulations of the competition and to learn the basic understanding of Design thinking.

Here the students are given autonomy to choose their own team mates, set their own deadlines, choose their own social problem and product idea and technology tools.

​There are in total 7 different phases for the entire competition is going to take place where "The TGES Hackathon 2019" comes in the Phase no. 2.


The 1st phase is the registration and warm up round where students are enrolled to the formation of various teams and their respective future team members. In addition to that, students are requested to pre-requisite and come prepared with mainly two focused areas:
  1. Understanding of the Design Thinking.
  2. Understanding the United Nations Sustainable Development and Goals - (UN SDGs).

Phase 2 is "The TGES Hackathon 2019" where all the students are participating in a two-day event where they would be making team formation and various other activity tasks are assigned to them as training. Apart from that, some other technology tools are also taught for the Idea creation, generation and building up a concrete business plan.

​Phase 3 of the competition requires the students working over the Idea phase where several stages are taken into account:
  1. Idea Finalization.
  2. Pieces of training Sessions by other technological tools which help students to create their business plan.

​Phase 4, here students would be finalization their designs for the product as well as a working prototype. In addition, they would be formulating a business plan and marketing plan along with website creation for their product and powerpoint presentation.

Phase 5,
here the students have to share the final drafts before presentation through an online portal based on your selected time slot. 
Apart from that they also have to prepare their presentation for Gallery Walk as well. 

Phase 6, here top 10 winners will be assessed by Local experience people from Gujarat Technological University (GTU) & various different institutions, industry tech corporates, would be assessing the work for the teams. In addition, experienced people from various different institutions, industry tech corporates from various parts of the world and based in International, would be assessing the work for the team in later parts of program.
